About Midtown Association

The Midtown Association (MA) is a non-profit organization that is making Midtown the center for culture, creativity, and vibrancy in Sacramento’s urban core. We have been selected by our team and the Sacramento Business Journal as one of the Best Places to Work in Sacramento for the last two years. The MA is a small/midsize organization with about 30 employees, 30 board members, and 30 consultant teams. Our board consists of artistic, fast-paced, committed, and innovative property and business owners. We attract high-performing, highly ethical employees who truly care about their community. Our team works well together because we hold ourselves accountable for strong project management and complement one another’s strengths. Our office is a beautiful modern storefront in the heart of Midtown with open-air meeting space, natural light, room for bike storage, and more than 20 restaurants/coffee shops/bars within two blocks. Our community services include; maintenance, safety, communications, events, placemaking, and advocacy.
 

For full-time employees, we offer the following benefits:


  • Retirement: 401(k) eligible with immediate vesting. Employer matches up to 5%.
    Health Insurance: Fully paid medical, dental, vision, acupuncture, and chiropractic.

  • Sick Leave: Full-time; 8 front-loaded paid sick leave days. Part-time; Accrued at the rate of 1 hour per every 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours per year.

  • Vacation Leave: 12 days of vacation until third year anniversary and then 15 days of vacation.

  • Holiday Leave: Up to 13 paid holidays annually, pending the date they fall on the schedule.

  • Work Off-Site: After one year of service, employees receive three work from anywhere days and after 90 days of service, administrative positions may assign one work from home day per week.

  • Refreshments: Unlimited in-office refreshments including snacks, coffee, cold brew, kombucha, and other treats.

  • Bereavement Leave: Up to 3 days per year.

  • Employee Assistance Program: Employees have confidential access to Licensed Professional Counselors and specialists to help balance work and life issues.

  • Life Insurance: Fully paid 15k accidental death life insurance policy.

  • Parking: Parking spaces as available, or a non-car transit reimbursement for carpool, public transit or bike maintenance/repair.

  • Wellness Program: Employees are eligible to receive monthly reimbursements for wellness-related activities.

  • Flexible Spending Account: With an FSA, you can set aside money from each paycheck before payroll taxes are deducted and use that money to pay for medical and dependent care expenses. As an FSA participant, you could save an average of up to 40% each year on many out-of-pocket expenses.

  • Pet Insurance: Discounted pet insurance
    Anniversary Donation: $100 donation made on your behalf annually to the nonprofit of your choice on your work anniversary.
